Artifacts are objects with magical properties. They are marked in RED (so they can be stolen) and BLUE (have magical properties, very rare). They work in Nordmark/north-zone during the day and everywhere after 21:00 in the night. They must at all times be kept in play, so do not hide them inside the tents or take them OFF. Sometimes the NPCs or players can gain immunity to some of the effects (with blessings for example). Their effects should be narrated by the wielder. Once you hear them say ARCANA you can not run away or cut them, the spell has already begun.
Sword of Persuasion

Can be used:
Once a day and once per night you can hypnotize one person to totally agree with you for 1 hour (you can not command the person to hurt themselves or others, or order them around, the victim just treats the sword owner very favorably).
The spell can only be cast in calm situation (not in battle) by holding the hilt in front of the victim using the word ARCANA saying:
“ARCANA – by the power of this sword you will consider me your best friend and agree to most of my suggestions for an hour”
Sword of Pain

Can be used:
Once a day and once per night you can cast crippling pain on someone by holding the hilt of the sword in front of the victims face using the word ARCANA saying:
“With this sword you shall feel the pain of my wrath – ARCANA PAIN“
The Great Orc Warhammer

Can be used:
Once a day and once per night anyone
can use the Shockwave spell on a group up to 10 people. It is not yet known what happens if orcs get their hands upon it… The spell can be cast by wielding the hammer using the word ARCANA saying:
“ARCANA shockwave!”
Archmage staff

Can be used:
Once a day and once per night ONLY a magic wielding person can use the Shockwave spell on a group up to 10 people.
The spell can be cast by wielding the staff using the word ARCANA saying:
“ARCANA SHOCKWAVE – fall to the ground you elderberry eating hamsters”
Necklace of Charm

Can be used:

People will find you very charming and are more likely to agree with you. It has limits. If someone really does not like you they will just find you less detestable.
Moon of Truth

Can be used:
Once a day and once per night you can hold it in front of the victim’s face and as they look into it they must tell the holder the truth up to 3 questions by saying:
“ARCANA – by the power of the moon you will answer with truth and only truth to the following 3 questions”
Flute of Abduction

Can be used:

Once a day and once per night you can use the flute to make someone follow you for a few minutes, unless they really think it’s a bad idea. You should play a melody not just random sounds.
“ARCANA” and you start playing it.
Music

Certain music played by Bards can heal and certain music can force you to follow that person for 5 minutes. Like being enchanted.
Can only be learned during the game from special people.
The Book of Sun

Can be used:

It lifts curses and makes what is wrong, right. It can only be used by those who can wield magic. It contains many different spells and rituals … which to use, its up to you.
“ARCANA – by the light of the sun I lift this curse from you!”
The Shieldbreaker

Can be used:

Once a day and once per night you can use the hammer to crush a shield, render it useless in the battle.
“ARCANA! By the mighty force of Odin your shield will break!”
QUEST ITEMS
Quest items are objects which hold special meaning and importance. They can be used to empower and enhance certain ritual. They are marked with GREEN ribbon and they CAN be stolen. They must at all times be kept in play, so do not hide them inside the tents or take them OFF.
Sword of Ancient Kings

The story said that whichever Westmarkian found the Sword of Ancient Kings is the only rightful ruler of Westmark. The story is so well told there was a chance that the only ruler people of Westmark would accept is any adult Westmark born person that had found the sword, not caring if they are noble or not. It was luckily found by – now his Majesty – King Gabriel Wolfenshield.

Not all artifacts and quest items will appear in the game every year.
The Greycloaks
A new addition to the LARP – these cloaked figures are Game Masters there to oversee battles and offer support to players when needed. They can be seen roaming around the whole Gimle area throughout day and part of the night.
When you are IN-character treat them as unimportant background figures, someone you would not approach. They are non-intractable meaning you can not attack them or roleplay with them as character. You can however approach them as a player.
They are there to oversee mechanics, clarify confusion and answer questions you might have. Their word is rule.
